We purchased a new home and did not expect to ever need follow-up services from our agent. Unfortunately, there were some warranty issues that did arise and we needed our agent on several occasions to assist us in seeking redress from the builder of our home. We were extremely pleased with the promptness and thoroughness of our agent, Paul Murphy, in responding to our needs even after the sale was completed and the commission had been paid. We were a bit uncomfortable having to ask for fixes, but our Zip agent assured us that we were entitled to these corrections under our new home warranty, and he made the necessary contacts to assure warranty compliance and followed up regularly to make sure that our needs were being met. We were and are extremely pleased.

First, some background: My wife and I were first time home buyers who entered the market with more than a little bit of trepidation, and decided to try working with a buyer's agent. We had used the Zip website because of its combination of ease of use and the powerful tools available on it. It was by pure luck that we ended up with Paul Murphy as a Zip Agent. During our early buying process (we began nearly a year ago), we talked and interacted with a number of agents on both sides of the table. We actually began first working with Sherri Goldstein, who is no longer with Zip, and when she left she referred us to Paul. She gave him a glowing recommendation, and we decided to give Paul a try. And we're ecstatic that we did. Paul's patience, sincerity, and experience were all incredibly helpful to us as we went through the home buying process. Paul was helpful not only in pointing out aspects of the home that we weren't looking for, but in clarifying the things that we WERE looking at. Paul has a unique ability to place himself in the situation of his clients, and to help show how a house might "evolve" over the years. Paul acted as more than our buyer's agent, he acted as a "air traffic controller" for all of our contacts. He always had recommendations for the various people that we needed, and were always impressed with the people to whom he referred us, including our home inspector. And even when we went with someone else (such as for our mortgage and our lawyer), he worked very well with them. In closing, we simply want to say this: Paul is a credit to your company, and he is a credit to your entire industry. He made the home buying process enjoyable and significantly less daunting for us, and we are very grateful that we lucked into meeting him. I have known Paul Murphy for more than 20 years as a friend and as a colleague, so I have had the opportunity of getting to know him personally and professionally. We worked together on several real estate transactions. One of them was the sale of my own son’s investment property, which Paul handled adroitly with ease and extraordinary expertise despite the fact that my son (the owner) lived out-of-state and needed extra help in dealing with the details.

Just recently, the time came for my husband and me to sell our own home and move out-of-state, and we ourselves needed someone familiar with an absentee seller situation.
